logan rosenbalm

My name is Logan Rosenbalm and I am the owner of Rosenbalm Academy of Music. I got my bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education at Oklahoma Christian University and began my teaching career as the head band director for the Jones School District. After spending nine months in New Zealand doing mission work, I returned to the United States with my wife and began teaching elementary music in Edmond and private music lessons part-time. In 2013, I left the public school system and started teaching private music lessons full time. I opened up my first music academy near 15th and Broadway in June of 2015. And we just opened up our newest location in Broadway Square in July of 2016.

My passion for teaching has grown tremendously in the last 10 years. I believe that anyone can learn any instrument if they have the desire and drive. As a teacher, I try to personalize the way I teach based on the individual strengths and needs of each particular student. And I also try to always value the person I am teaching over my educational expectations.

I love performing and creating music as well. My performance experience includes jazz combo, jazz band, chorus, pit orchestra, concert band, rock band, lots of solo piano and singing, and worship leading. I trained classically on the piano and saxophone at Oklahoma Christian University. I learned how to play by ear and with passion from my dad, Rory Rosenbalm.

ANNIE DAVIS

My name is Annie Davis:

I am a student at Oklahoma Christian University. I have studied piano for nine plus years, and have been fortunate enough to learn from three different teachers, each with a different focus. Having this enables me to individually customize each student's lessons to best fit his/her needs.

As for my performance experience. I am lead pianist on the worship teams at my church. My side interests include photography, volleyball, and drawing cartoons.

I have been teaching piano for a few years now and what I have learned from that to utilize a high encouragement model that embraces improvement over perfection, while seeking to enliven each student's passion for music.

Becoming friends with and teaching each of my students to grow musically in their own unique style is such a delight, and makes my job a dream!

It truly is an inspiring feeling when you learn to coach effectively and communicate with a young student on a musical level...it’s exciting to see young musicians hone their craft,” Tara says. “Each voice is completely unique and has its own story to tell. And if all I am is the person who helps someone fall in love with music or discover their identity within it, I'm thrilled. That’s what sharing and studying music all about.".
